Getting
Started Product Guides
To better
assist our cusotmers in making decisions on which
products to purchase and how to get started once they
have purchases our products, we have compiled the
following Getting Started Product Guide.
Which
products are right for me?
Thermal
Desktop® and Sinaps® are
graphic user interfaces (GUIs) which use SINDA/FLUINT as
core the solver for heat transfer (SINDA) and fluid
flow (FLUINT). RadCAD and FloCAD are
add-on modules for Thermal Desktop.
Our customers have the ability to
pick the software modules make sense for their specific
modeling needs, and combine them into a single cohesive
thermal analysis and/or fluid flow analysis tool.
Customers can choose either Sinaps for
a nongeometric,
network style interface, or Thermal Desktop for a geometric,
CAD interface. In general the nongeometric interface
allows the analyst to take a more abstract approach
to modeling, allowing the user to create arbitrary
networks focused on modeling the
thermohydraulics of a system, not the hardware.
For certain types of fluid modeling, this can be
beneficial. The geometric interface is more
appropriate for thermal only systems or geometry-dominated
fluid systems.
Now
that I have purchased a product, how do I start using
it?
