What do fuel tanks, oil tanks, dewars, reservoirs and accumulators, steam drums, boilers, and immersion-cooled electronics all have in common? They are all vessels that are partially filled with liquid. 

They require long term transients and often involve phase change, which strain the capabilities of CFD programs. They have complex walls and internal structures that have strained the capabilities of fluid network programs.
