Online Training: Seeking Worst-Case Design Scenarios AutomaticallyThis presentation and demonstration will describe the application of the Solver module in SINDA/FLUINT, as accessed via Thermal Desktop’s Case Set Manager, for the automatic seeking of the worst-case design scenario (e.g., “hot case” or “cold case”) of a model’s uncertainties or variations in environments, operational parameters, and even properties and dimensions. An example problem will be worked interactively. Users will learn how to declare variations and their limits, how to pre-scan the variational space to determine starting points, and how to deal with multiple conflicting scenarios.
