Training: Introduction to Modeling Loop Heat Pipes
C&R
Technologies will be hosting a free web class on modeling loop heat pipes (LHPs) in Sinaps and FloCAD. This class will consist
of a presentation on basic system level LHP and condenser modeling methods with a walk through of both Sinaps and FloCAD sample models. This class covers system level LHP model, ie. modeling the effects of the LHP on the host system. This class does not cover methods necessary for LHP annomolly modeling, secondary wick design optimzation, etc.
Please note that modeling LHPs does NOT use the same methods as modeling traditional heat pipes and vice a verse. For heat pipe modeling we provide a separate class Modeling Heat Pipes in FloCAD.
Prerequisites: Basic understanding of FLUINT and understanding of two-phase modeling concepts.. Recommend attending the Two-Phase Flow Overview online class.
