Online Training: Correlating Models to Test Data AutomaticallyThis presentation and demonstration will describe the application of the Solver module in SINDA/FLUINT, as accessed via Thermal Desktop’s Case Set Manager, for the automatic adjustment of a model’s uncertainties to better fit available test data. An example problem will be worked interactively. Users will learn how to declare uncertainties and their limits, and how to automate the comparison of predictions with test data to generate a merit function (a least-squares or RSS fit, in this example). Prerequisites: Basic understanding of Thermal Desktop and SINDA/FLUINT operation, including Symbols and Registers class, Introduction to Optimization class, or equivalent experience.
