This
presentation and demonstration will describe the purpose and
basic operation of the Solver module in SINDA/FLUINT as accessed
via Thermal Desktop’s Case Set Manager. The Solver is the
basis of design optimization, data correlation, worst-case scenario-seeking,
and other general tasking of the combined power of SINDA/FLUINT
and Thermal Desktop to iteratively seek an analytic goal. Users
will learn how to declare design variables, define optimization
objectives and constraints, prepare evaluation procedures, and
interpret and then accept or reject results. An example problem
will be worked interactively.
Prerequisites: Basic
understanding of Thermal Desktop and SINDA/FLUINT operation,
including Symbols and Registers class or equivalent experience.
