Thermal
Desktop uses proximity calculations to automatically connect nodes
between dissimilar meshes. Thermal Desktop will connect edge to
edge, edge to area, and area to area conductance. These calculations
are extremely fast since Thermal Desktop uses the same proprietary
Oct Cell algorithms developed for the radiation analyzer RadCAD
to limit the number of proximity tests between surfaces/edges.
